The Nourishing Norfolk 2024 Awards were held on Thursday 16th May at the Holiday Inn, Norwich Airport at a wonderful Gatsby-themed ceremony managed by Travel and Tourism students from Norwich City College. The awards celebrated the tremendous work undertaken by Norfolk Community Foundation in setting up Nourishing Norfolk activities across the county and the wide variety of organisations which participate in many ways to bring affordable food to communities and provide additional support.

Nourishing Norfolk was the Jarrold Retail charity in 2022/23 and colleagues raised the amazing sum of £19,369.34. Colleagues really took the Nourishing Norfolk programme to heart and found innovative ways to raise money, including hosting colleague quiz & curry nights and upcycling fashion shows. Contributions also came from the Customer loyalty scheme and bag sales. Several colleagues chose Nourishing Norfolk for their Run Norwich sponsorship.

Jarrolds support was also the priority charity for Chairman, David Hill, in his year as High Sheriff of Norfolk in 2022/23 when he encouraged fundraising, hosted events and signposted other supporters to the programme.
