Jarrold celebrates Christmas Jumper Day

Jarrold celebrated Christmas Jumper Day by inviting colleagues to put on their finest festive sweaters to raise money for the EACH Nook Appeal.

Christmas Jumper Day comes but once a year, and this year colleagues from independent department store Jarrold dressed up in their festive jumpers, T-shirts, ties and even socks to raise money for the EACH Nook Appeal.

The day was so festive that it even snowed (thanks to the Jarrold snow machine) and colleagues impressed with an array of Christmas attire that brought colour and sparkle to Jarrold.

Customers were also invited to join in the fun with charity collection tins around the store. The money raised will help raise funds for a new children’s hospice which is currently being built.

Jarrold marketing manager Carole Slaughter said: “Thanks to all of you who took part in Christmas Jumper Day and to our customers who have supported us too. The money raised will be significant to the EACH Nook Appeal as they strive to reach the target of £10m needed to complete the build of the new children’s hospice, which will be important to the families that EACH help and support each year.”

Jarrold are also delighted our Christmas Jumper image has been selected to appear on Norwich Castle from the 14 to the 23 December.

The EACH Nook Appeal is one of the three main charities Jarrold is raising money for throughout the year up until 2020 with charity events and fundraising initiatives.
