On Thursday 20th October members of the Norwich Society visited the John Jarrold Printing Museum and St James Mill at Whitefriars. The visitors were shown many aspects of typesetting, printing and binding skills in the working museum and entertained with memories of working in the printing industry. Following the visit to the Museum they were given an overview of the history of the use of St James Mill from its establishment in 1836 in a plan to regenerate the yarn industry in the city of Norwich to the present day.
