Jarrold contributes to the communities of Norwich and Norfolk in many different ways. Charitable donations on behalf of the Company are usually made through the John Jarrold Trust. Over many years Directors and other staff have also been involved in local institutions and charities as Trustees, Governors or Board Directors. The Company recognises that it is important for the healthy development of the community in which it operates to participate in this way.
Jarrold is proud to be the sponsor of the Jarrold Stand at Norwich City Football Club. The Company also encourages initiatives from staff to support charitable fund raising. As part of these activities the Retail division raised £20,000 in 2005/6 towards the building of the new Big C day-care centre at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The Retail charity of the year for 2007/8 is East Anglian Children's Hospice .
